Summer to Fall lips: Restless, Kendall Jenner for Estee Lauder

I love EstĂ©e Lauder makeup and Double Wear is my holy grail foundation so when Kendall Jenner became the face of the company and dropped this lipstick I was straight online to place my order!  If I'm not wearing nude lipstick I'm usually sporting orange/red and my favourite is M.A.C Lady Danger and when Restless arrived in the post it instantly reminded me of the old favourite but to my amazement Restless is far better due to better formulation. It is a matte formulation but it is very creamy making it easy to apply and non drying.  The colour is an orange red; if I'm at my palest this looks very orange against my skin tone which I enjoy but when I'm tanned it shows as a little more red so keep this in mind when purchasing what it could look like on your lips.  EstĂ©e Lauder have really upped their game this year and I'm excited to see what else they have in mind... Restless is still available online exclusive to  EstĂ©e Lauder .

#HighlightonFLEEK: Champagne Pop, Jaclyn Hill for Becca Cosmetics

The Becca and Jaclyn Hill collaboration has been the highlight of the year (pun intended) for the youtube and beauty world. Becca are known for their highlighters so it was a fitting match that the queen of highlight herself created her perfect shade that we can all enjoy too.  Unfortunately it's not widely available and is exclusive to Sephora... thank the makeup gods that Sephora now ship to the UK! The downside is anyone who doesn't live near a store will not have the luxury of trying before you splurge and you can only rely on swatches from google. For me this shade is not suitable for very fair skin tones although you fair ladies will be able to use this a a glowy bronzer to warm up the face.  The colour is a very warm peach with a gold champagne (duh) undertone. It feels very creamy and smooth in texture and this translates onto the skin as it just glides onto your cheekbones with one swipe! If you are on the fairer side you may want to go in with a light h

Summer Glow: NARS Copacabana Illuminator

You may have noticed from yesterdays post that I love glowing makeup especially in the summer as it just looks stunning when the sun is shining. Luckily mother nature is on my side having blessed me with oily skin and its really not that bad if you work with it (have a read at this post from Into the Gloss) but I just can't stop myself layering on some extra glow from a tube!  There is so many ways to apply this; you can apply it before you apply your base or you can mix it with your foundation and you can apply it after your makeup to your cheekbones etc. I have tried all the methods and I love them all but I have been using this on my colar bones and the tops of my shoulders and it leaves a beautiful sunkissed sheen.  Copacabana is a pale, pinked toned illuminator but they do have other shades available that may suit your skintone better.  Nars Cosmetics can be purchaced from narscosmetics.co.uk or via spacenk.com

Double up: Chantecaille & Laura Mercier

Summer is here and it's time to shop my makeup stash... Although I have oily and acne prone skin I hate a heavy or overly matte foundation in the summer because lets face it having a trowel load of makeup sweat off your face is not attractive. I like to keep the face makeup minimal and light so I can focus more on the eyes with some winged eyeliner or with a bold statement lip. To achieve this I have been wearing a tinted moisturiser... well two tinted moisturisers; the Chantecaille Just Skin Anti Smog Tinted Moisturiser in the shade Bliss and the Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturiser in the colour Bisque. When I wear these alone I just cant seem to make them work the Chantecaille Just Skin is too pale in colour with peach undertones and a little thick in consistency for a tinted moisturiser although great if you need extra coverage and the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser is too dark for my skin. I mixed them to get my perfect shade (half a pea size of both) then appli

Copycat

I am a huge fan of H olly Willoughby and I have always admired her gold 2 coin necklace that she often wears while presenting.  I scoured google looking for something similar and came across a website called sparklingjewellery.co.uk they had a few options; yellow gold, rose gold and silver and I had a look at some other items and they offer replicas of jewellery that is often spotted on other celebs such as an Evil eye necklace that was spotted on Millie Mackintosh during a Made in Chelsea series and some other well known engagement rings.  As well as offering replicas of the coin jewellery they do stock real coin pieces but they are considerably more expensive so I chose to go with a replica piece and bought the  Premium 22ct Gold Double Coin Holly Necklace for £45 the delivery was quick and it came beautifully packaged in an orange draw string bag and inside a box containing a tiny draw string bag containing the necklace.  I am so pleased with the necklace itself and it sits perfectl

Current Favourites: Skincare & Beauty

I don't know about you but my "likes" on BL is practically my shopping list that sets me back a few bob every now and then...  I have to admit I do tend to buy into the hype even although some hyped about products become  'nah' after a few uses however I have two products that did not fail to please. The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light gives the most beautiful yet natural highlight under my eyes and it creates miracles in photographs by blurring blemishes. I have really ouly skin but I recently experienced a bad breakout and I was left with dry patched where the spots were, this is where the Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentrate worked a treat! It seen rid of any dry patches and left my skin feeling soft and smooth.  Another setting that I have been enjoying using recently is the Ben Nye Natural Set loose powder; like I said before I have very oily skin so I often need to blot and touch up my makeup so I love when I find a powder that you can tou

Limited Edition: Guerlain Crazy Terracotta

Please forgive the lateness of this post!  I have now seen this blush/bronzer appear on a multitude of blogs over the last few weeks!  First of all I would like to applause Guerlain for once again delivering such luxurious packaging! It has that sofisticated "old" feel, worthy of an old Hollywood movie star! However when you open the compact you are presented with the product that is somewhat the complete opposite to the outside packaging concluding the name "Crazy Terracotta".  The powder itself is a mosaic of warm shimmery browns and there is also a pop of colour with some light peach and bright pink.  I prefer to swirl my brush in the powder picking up every shade and applying a strong wash of colour to my cheeks - whatever I have left on the brush I like to sweep across the high points of my face to give a healthy glow (even in the winter). It distributes just the right amount of "glow" so you don't look too shimmery or shiny.  Lastly I just want t
